Tricopter

A tricopter is similar to a helicopter except that it has three vertical rotors as exposed to a heli's one ( or two in the case of coaxial). It is a remote controlled aircraft .The design of a tricopter includes three motors, one of which is vectored. A tricopter consists of three motors, three controllers, one servo and four gyros. Three rotors, which generate a greater buoyancy are used for the movement and control. Three generally equal booms are attached on the trunk of the tricopter the distance is 120 degrees to each other.A gyroscope is used for stabilization. It stabilizes the yaw axis and prevents unwanted rotation. The beauty of the design is that three ordinary outtrunners direct driving ordinary propellers can be used. Four helicopter gyros makes the tricopter super stable. And to make it yaw a servo tilts the back motor. A tricopter stabilizes automatically. The advantages of the tricopter are they are small ,durable, stable flight with unique designs, very agile due to swivel rear engines and have a larger front field of view of camera.

AIM

To design a tricopter capable of carrying out surveillance activities and other engaing tasks

APPROACH

The approach includes design of the tricopter and fabrication wih the materials available in the current market.
